Michele Bombardier

Michele was Bainbridge Island’s first Poet Laureate and served with energy and vision. She has presented poetry at council meetings, dedications, and public ceremonies, while engaging residents of all ages through free readings, workshops, and in-school classes. She curated the monthly library open mic, teaches poetry, and responds to current events through her poetry. Her signature projects include Poetry & Public Art and a forthcoming little free poetry library. Through mentorship, public art, and regional collaboration, Michele has given Bainbridge Island an enduring, inclusive gift of poetry for the community.
